The role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Administration and Finance, the successful candidate will play a key role in transforming data into strategic insights that support informed decision-making. This individual will be responsible for developing and monitoring a variety of business analyses and reports. They will identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs), establish performance benchmarks, and develop dashboards to effectively track and communicate organizational performance.

 

The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with the Human Resources team, directors, and supervisors across the firm, acting as a trusted partner in delivering meaningful insights and recommendations. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide managers with meaningful insights to support informed decision-making
  • Transform data from multiple sources into strategic business intelligence and provide recommendations aimed at improving organizational performance
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into effective Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
  • Participate in the automation and optimization of reporting processes and analytical workflows
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance across reporting and analytics activities
  • Identify and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workload, productivity, and role-specific responsibilities, and provide actionable recommendations based on findings
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within Power BI analyses and communicate recommendations, as appropriate, to team leaders and supervisors
  • Analyze and compare actual results against established performance benchmarks to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Perform other related duties involving data analysis, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Management, or a related field
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information and generate actionable insights
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a role involving data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken
  • Proficiency in Power BI
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, Power Automate, SQL Server, DAX, and Microsoft Fabric (an asset)
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (an asset)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify issues and opportunities, and draw meaningful conclusions;
  • Strong ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders
  • Leadership skills and a proactive mindset
  • Strategic thinking and strong critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
