The role

We are looking for a talented Marketing Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the selected candidate will contribute to enhancing the visibility of our firm and its professionals. The main responsibility will be to implement a digital strategy while ensuring the proper coordination and execution of various projects assigned to them. The individual will also play an advisory role by providing recommendations based on marketing best practices. As part of this role, you will also work closely with the business development team and practice groups to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the firm’s objectives.

 

This position is a fixed-term contract of approximately 12 months to cover a parental leave, with possibility of extension or permanence.

Responsibilities

  • Implement marketing strategies to help achieve business objectives through our digital channels
  • Manage social media and monitor their performance
  • Develop a content strategy and manage editorial calendars
  • Write bilingual posts and create original content
  • Manage advertising campaigns and analyze their results
  • Create simple visuals using Canva
  • Manage content and ensure information is kept up to date
  • Write, format, and manage the distribution of newsletters
  • Support the management of sponsorships and coordinate any related brand activities or activations
  • Collaborate with professionals to implement their marketing initiatives
  • Assist in organizing various events (in-person and virtual)
  • Conduct research and analysis related to current and prospective clients, revenue and services offered, competitors, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare service proposals, respond to RFPs, and coordinate the creation of client documents and/or presentations
  • Prepare submissions for legal directories (Chambers, Lexpert, Best Lawyers, etc.)
  • Support professionals in preparing their business development activities, including major conferences (clarifying objectives, targeting meetings, data collection and analysis, post-event follow-ups, etc.)
  • Support management in the implementation of strategic projects
  • Perform any other related marketing tasks.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, law, or a related field;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Strong knowledge of social media, particularly LinkedIn;
  • Knowledge of WordPress (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics (an asset);
  • Intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness;
  • Proven client service skills;
  • Initiative;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
