The Opportunity.
Smart & Biggar is currently looking Administrative Clerks to join and support our various teams with day-to-day workflow on a contract basis. This role is open to both bilingual (French/English) and non-bilingual candidates and will be based out of our Ottawa office.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for recent graduates or individuals interested in launching a career in professional services.

Responsibilities.
- Prepare, draft, and process correspondence, letters, invoices, and billing documentation
- Process and distribute incoming electronic and physical mail
- Maintain accurate records, files, and administrative documentation
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Provide general administrative support, including document preparation, data entry, and office coordination
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Other duties may be assigned or amended as required
Qualifications, competencies and experience.
- One year of administrative or office experience
- Post-secondary education
- A great team player with excellent attention to detail
- A strong ability to prioritize a large workload
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized and proactive
- High proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software and technology quickly
- Proficiency in English required; French fluency is considered an asset
Compensation.
The base salary for this role will be positioned at $43,000. This takes into consideration factors such as location, job-related knowledge, prior experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
