What You'll Do
- Lead the quality assurance and review of Thai patent, technical, and legal translations, ensuring technical accuracy, appropriate legal context, terminology consistency and compliance with the firm’s standards.
- Develop and maintain translation standards, terminology guidance, review procedures and quality-control processes, and drive continuous improvement in translation workflows and tools.
- Provide clear guidance and constructive feedback on translation quality, resolving quality issues and promoting consistent standards across translation work.
- Act as a key contact for translation-related matters, working with internal stakeholders and clients to understand requirements, address queries and resolve issues.
- Support the ongoing development of the firm’s translation services, including initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and client experience.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in patent translation and/or review, particularly English–Thai and Thai–English work.
- Experience in an IP law firm or patent-related environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience in reviewing and quality-controlling translation work, with the ability to make sound quality judgments and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage priorities, quality and deadlines effectively.
- A degree in science, engineering or a technical discipline is preferred; substantial patent translation experience may be considered in place of a technical degree.
- Excellent Thai and English communication skills, with a collaborative, pragmatic and professional working style
