We are seeking a Head of Human Resources to join our ANZ Regional HR team, supporting our Spruson & Ferguson Australia (SFAU) member firm. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for setting and driving the HR agenda for SFAU and partnering with the business to support growth, performance and organisational capability.
Working closely with the Managing Director and SFAU Leadership Team, and in partnership with the Regional Head of HR (ANZ), you will provide strategic and operational HR leadership across the firm. As a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, you will shape and drive people strategies, organisational change, leadership capability and a high-performance culture.
The role is supported by the centralised ANZ HR Support Team, providing HR administration and coordination across the region. You will work collaboratively with other ANZ HR leaders to ensure consistent processes, support the development of the centralised team and contribute to broader ANZ and IPH Group HR initiatives.
What you'll be responsible for
- Partnering with the Managing Director and SFAU Leadership Team to design and facilitate the delivery of bespoke HR and people strategies to drive business performance and shape the future of SFAU, embedding a commercially driven and value-add model.
- Setting and driving the HR agenda for SFAU, including leading change programs, supporting organisational redesign, making key strategic HR decisions and implementing HR efficiencies and best practice.
- Leading the end-to-end employee lifecycle across SFAU, providing solution-orientated advice and guidance on HR policies and practices and ensuring consistency of approach.
- Overseeing workplace relations, including complaints, conflicts, grievances and misconduct, ensuring decisions and outcomes are appropriately assessed against risk and mitigations are in place.
- Rolling out core people initiatives and processes, including performance management, remuneration reviews, team development, talent and succession, reward & recognition and culture surveys.
- Partnering with IPH and SFAU Finance teams on business and performance planning, ensuring meaningful performance data and objectives are delivered and commercially sound decisions are made.
- Championing employee engagement, driving business-aligned leadership actions, and developing leadership capability through influence and coaching People Leaders to embed a high-performance, business-focused culture.
- Overseeing the ANZ centralised HR Support Team alongside other Heads of HR and HR Managers, ensuring consistent and consolidated HR admin and coordination processes, while coaching and mentoring the team to support growth, development and succession.
- Supporting HR reporting, Talent Acquisition, workplace health and safety and IPH Group HR Projects, while collaborating with the Regional Head of HR (ANZ) and broader HR/Finance stakeholders to drive continuous improvement; deputising for the Regional Head of HR (ANZ) and travelling to SFAU and IPH offices as required.
About You
- An accomplished Senior HR Manager with extensive experience leading a HR function in a complex, high-performing environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational transformation, including developing and implementing best practice HR strategies, efficiencies and operational plans.
- Proven ability to build strong, productive relationships with senior stakeholders, coach and influence decisions using a commercial mindset and HR best practice models.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to align HR initiatives with broader business objectives and contribute to the company’s long-term strategy.
- Degree qualified in HR or a related discipline, with a sound foundation in ER/IR, including competency in the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and other legislation.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a solution-focused, proactive approach and the ability to oversee complex people matters to successful solution; previous experience within a professional services organisation is preferable.
