IPH Limited is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an ANZ-based opportunity, with candidates welcome from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland or Wellington.

You will be responsible for the engineering, operation, security and continuous improvement of IPH’s cloud platforms across Australia and New Zealand.

The role will focus primarily on Microsoft Azure, with responsibility for supporting AWS and hybrid cloud services where required. You will design, deploy, automate, monitor and support secure and resilient cloud solutions, while also providing Level 3 support across selected on-premises infrastructure.

Working closely with infrastructure, information security, architecture, application and service desk teams, you will support cloud projects, operational improvements, incident resolution and the transition of new services into BAU support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, deploy, configure and support production services across Microsoft Azure and, where required, AWS.
  • Manage Azure subscriptions, management groups, resource groups, policies, role assignments, budgets and resource tagging.
  • Support and improve cloud landing zones, network connectivity, identity integration, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
  • Deploy and manage Azure compute, storage, networking, private endpoints, load balancing and platform services.
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation tools, including Terraform or Bicep.
  • Develop and maintain reusable deployment templates, scripts and operational runbooks.
  • Apply cloud security, configuration and governance standards in collaboration with Information Security and Architecture teams.
  • Monitor cloud availability, performance, capacity, security posture and cost, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
  • Support workload migration, modernisation and transition from on-premises infrastructure to cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud, identity, network and application connectivity issues.
  • Participate in cloud architecture and technical design reviews.
  • Provide Level 3 support for Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy and hybrid identity services.
  • Support virtualisation, storage, backup and replication platforms.
  • Assist with infrastructure patching, vulnerability remediation, lifecycle management and capacity planning.
  • Support high-priority incidents, undertake root-cause analysis and produce technical incident reports.
  • Support the design, maintenance and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
  • Deliver cloud and infrastructure components of strategic technology projects and transition new services into operational support.
  • Coordinate technical activities with vendors, managed service providers and internal teams.

About You

You will be an experienced cloud and infrastructure professional with strong hands-on Azure experience and a passion for building secure, reliable and scalable technology environments.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' recent, hands-on cloud engineering or cloud platform operations experience in production environments.
  • A minimum of 5 years' total experience across cloud, systems engineering or enterprise infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure networking, compute, storage, monitoring and recovery services.
  • Practical experience with Azure networking, including VNets, peering, routing, NSGs, private endpoints, VPNs and firewalls.
  • Experience with Entra ID, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or Bicep.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI or equivalent tools.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy in hybrid environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex Level 3 cloud and infrastructure incidents.
  • Experience producing clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks and implementation plans.

Experience with AWS, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, VMware, enterprise backup and replication platforms will be highly regarded.

Azure or AWS certifications, ITIL Foundation certification, or experience working in a multi-entity, professional services or geographically distributed organisation would also be advantageous.
